Silver Strikers' Confidence Soaring Ahead of Dedza Dynamos Clash

Head Coach Peter Mgangira of Silver Strikers is brimming with confidence as his team prepares to face Premier Bet Dedza Dynamos in the thirteenth 2025 TNM Super League match at Silver Stadium in Lilongwe on Wednesday.

Mgangira's optimism stems from the return of several injured players and back-to-back victories over the weekend. Silver Strikers emerged victorious with a 3-1 scoreline against Ekhaya FC in a league match on Saturday before defeating Mighty Wanderers by the same margin in the Reserve Bank of Malawi's 60th Anniversary celebrations on Sunday.

Captain Chikondi Kamanga, Gift Chunga, and Precious Sambani were among the key players who featured in both games. Their participation has strengthened the squad and added competition among the players.

"The boys look good, and we are fortunate that the ones who were injured are now back. Even those who haven't played of late have shown that they are in good shape, and this brings more competition among themselves," Mgangira said.

Despite respecting their opponents, Mgangira believes that the team's confidence should remain high. "We are playing at home on Wednesday. We respect the opponents, but we don’t fear them. We are returning from back-to-back wins over the weekend. The most important part is that the belief and confidence in the players should be kept high. These three points are important, they are not different from any other points, but we need them," he added.

Currently, Silver Strikers are in third position in the TNM Super League with 23 points from 12 games. Their recent form has been impressive, with three consecutive victories. The team will be looking to continue their good run of form and extend their lead over their opponents.

With the return of key players and the momentum gained from their recent victories, Silver Strikers are poised to make a strong challenge for the top spot in the league.
