FCB Nyasa Big Bullets: Yamikani Mologeni Signs Three-Year Contract Extension

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets has announced that right-back Yamikani Mologeni has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until 2029. The 22-year-old defender has been a consistent performer for Bullets since his return from a loan spell with Bangwe All Stars in 2024.

Mologeni, who rose through the youth ranks of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, impressed enough during his loan spell to earn a call-up to the first team. Since then, he has become one of the most promising defenders in Malawian football, featuring in 38 matches, scoring two goals, and providing nine assists.

"I am thrilled to have extended my stay with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets. Bullets is the biggest club in Malawi, and I feel privileged to be part of this successful family," Mologeni said after signing his new contract.

"I had no intention of leaving because this club has pushed me to reach new heights. I've been here for a long time, and I was looking forward to this day," he added.

Head Coach Peter Mponda welcomed Mologeni's extension, describing him as a vital piece of the squad's future.

"Yamikani has been a consistent performer since joining the first team. His energy, overlapping runs, and defensive discipline have been important for us. At just 22, he has plenty of room to grow, and we believe this new deal will give him the platform to become one of the best fullbacks in Malawi and beyond," Mponda said.

Mologeni also highlighted his bond with the technical panel and fellow teammates as a key factor in his decision to stay.

"I have a great relationship with my coaches and teammates, and I am very happy that our journey continues together. I want to keep working hard so that we achieve a lot as a team," Mologeni said.

Mologeni's long-term goal is to play for the Malawi National Team and eventually play outside of Malawi.

"Football has both good and bad moments, but if we win the league and other cups, we will have a great season. I want to contribute to the team's success, just like in 2023 when we won the quadruple. I want people to remember me as part of that success story," Mologeni added.

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets fans are excited about Mologeni's new contract and look forward to seeing him continue to grow and develop as a player.

Meanwhile, Mologeni's new contract is a boost for FCB Nyasa Big Bullets as they look to defend their titles in the Malawian Super League and other competitions.
