FCB Nyasa Big Bullets Welcome Back Aaron Chilipa on Loan from Creck Sporting Club
FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, the leading team in Malawi's TNM Super League, have announced the return of Aaron Chilipa on a loan deal from Creck Sporting Club. The 25-year-old left-back, who previously played for Bullets' Reserves team in 2022, will join the squad until the end of the 2025 season, with an option to buy.
Chilipa's arrival comes at an opportune time as Bullets deal with a long-term injury to Chrispin Mapemba, which has forced head coach Peter Mponda to rotate between Henry Chiwaya and Dominic Musonda at the left-back position. With Chilipa's addition, Bullets now have more depth and competition in that area of the pitch.
"Aaron is a player we know well from his time in our system. He's matured, he's been playing regularly elsewhere, and now he returns at a time we need to strengthen that left-back position," Mponda explained. "Following Mapemba's injury, we've had Henry and Dominic competing in that role — both of whom joined us before the season. Aaron now adds more depth and competition, and that's exactly what we want at this stage of the campaign."
Chilipa's football journey started at Ndirande All Stars before joining Bullets' Reserves team in 2022. He then moved to Bangwe All Stars in 2023 and later to Creck Sporting Club in 2024, where he became a mainstay in the side and made 45 appearances in all competitions. With Bullets, Chilipa is eager to fight for his place and help the team push forward.
"It feels great to be back home. This is where the dream started — wearing the Bullets Reserves jersey and hoping one day I'd step up to the first team," Chilipa said. "I've grown a lot since leaving. Playing for Bangwe and Creck gave me the platform to develop, to test myself, and to stay hungry. I'm grateful for those chapters. But coming back to Bullets means everything. It's not just another move — it's a return to where it all began, and now I'm here to give my all and help this great club push forward."
Bullets have already made one mid-season addition, bringing in right-back Khumbo Banda from Dedza Dynamos. With the transfer window officially closing tonight, Chilipa becomes the second new face in the squad as the team continues to strengthen during the second round of the 2025 campaign, which is already underway with two matches played.
Chilipa's return to FCB Nyasa Big Bullets is a significant boost for the team, adding to their depth and competition in the left-back position. With his experience and familiarity with the team, he is poised to contribute significantly to Bullets' ongoing success in the TNM Super League.
