First Capital Bank Celebrates FCB Nyasa Big Bullets' Airtel Top 8 Cup Success with Token of Appreciation

First Capital Bank, the proud sponsors of FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, hosted the team at their Training Centre in Blantyre on Tuesday to celebrate their recent triumph in the Airtel Top 8 Cup competition. The team secured their fourth title in the competition with a thrilling penalty shootout victory over Silver Strikers in Lilongwe last month.

As a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication, each Bullets player was presented with a cheque of K500,000. Head coach Peter Mponda received a special recognition award of K1 million, while team manager James Chilapondwa was presented with K750,000 for their leadership and commitment throughout the campaign.

"The Airtel Top 8 was a highly competitive tournament, and Bullets gave it their all to secure the first trophy of the season. Our reward for them is a way of motivating them to keep fighting for the remaining trophies this campaign," said Twikale Chirwa, Head of Marketing and Communication at First Capital Bank.

Bullets' dominance in domestic cup football was once again reinforced with this latest victory, making it their third consecutive title in the competition. The team's CEO, Albert Chigoga, expressed his gratitude for the gesture, describing it as an extra source of motivation for the players and technical staff.

"First Capital Bank have always stood firmly behind this team, motivating and energizing the players to perform at their best. This gesture goes beyond the sponsorship package, and as a club, we are truly happy and proud to have them as our partner. This is the greatest sponsorship Bullets have ever enjoyed, and we take immense pride in it," said Chigoga.

As Bullets bask in the glory of their latest achievement, they now shift their focus to the FDH Bank Cup Round of 32, where they will face National Division League side Chilumba Barracks at Chitipa Stadium this Sunday.

"We are excited about the upcoming FDH Bank Cup match, and we are confident that we will continue to perform at our best. We would like to thank our supporters for their unwavering support and encouragement," added Mponda.

The celebration at the Training Centre provided an opportunity to reflect on the journey to this year's Airtel Top 8 crown and the collective effort behind the achievement. Bullets' dominance in domestic cup football is a testament to the team's resilience, determination, and the support of their sponsors and supporters.

First Capital Bank's commitment to supporting Bullets both on and off the pitch is a shining example of the power of sponsorship in motivating sports teams to achieve their goals. Bullets' success is a source of inspiration to many, and their journey to victory is a reminder that with hard work, dedication, and the right support, anything is possible.

Bullets' next challenge comes this Sunday against Chilumba Barracks in the FDH Bank Cup Round of 32. Let's see if they can continue their winning streak and bring home another trophy.
