Silver Strikers Seek Clinical Finishing Against Chitipa United

Head Coach Peter Mgangira of Silver Strikers is urging his team to be clinical in front of goal when they face Chitipa United in the TNM Super League on Wednesday, as they return home after a win in Blantyre.

The Bankers, who have been away from Silver Stadium for three weeks, are eager to make the most of their home advantage. Their last game at home ended in a goalless draw against Mighty Tigers on August 2.

"It's important that we capitalize on the chances we create in each match. That's the only way we'll secure better results," said Mgangira.

Despite Chitipa United coming off a loss and eager to kickstart a winning streak in the second round, Mgangira believes his team is well prepared for the challenge.

"We don't fear the opponent but respect them. We feel we are well prepared for this game," he added.

Silver Strikers are missing Dan Sandukira due to groin pain but are relieved with the return of Precious Sambani and Chikondi Kamanga. Ernest Petro, a new signing, has also joined training and could make his debut on Wednesday.

"We are currently missing Dan Sandukira, but we expect him back soon. I'm happy that Precious and Chikondi are healthy again, which adds more depth to the squad. Ernest, another talented player, joined us in training on Monday. He looks sharp and eager to play. That's promising, and if all goes well, he might have a role on Wednesday," said Mgangira.

In the first round, Silver Strikers and Chitipa United drew (2-2) at Karonga Stadium in the second game of the season.

As the second round of the TNM Super League heats up, Silver Strikers will be looking to build on their win against Mighty Tigers and continue their impressive form at Silver Stadium.
